The Importance of change… and doing it collectively

18th February 2016 Church News.

Out of change comes opportunity and renewed energy. We all need change to keep us motivated and feeling we are moving forwards rather than stagnating.

That’s why New Year resolutions are so popular… until mid January when all the good intentions fade away. It’s also why we change our personal appearance, go on holiday, move house, decorate….

Businesses also need to change too in order to keep moving forward – that’s why we are changing an awful lot in 2016: moving office, rebranding and creating a new website. The excitement and renewed energy in the organisation is palpable which is great. How do we keep these positive feelings going and benefit from a truly motivated workforce? That’s the challenge! I’ve learnt as a business leader that employee inclusion is key to getting initial buy in and continued involvement is critical to any successful change. So when our ten year lease was coming to an end we consulted with the staff about where we wanted to take the business and how we wanted it to look and feel. As a result I was overwhelmed by the contribution each and everyone made to making the project such a success. I didn’t have to ask any of my colleagues to stay late or come in at the weekends to help complete the move so we were up and ready for business on Monday. They all wanted to be part of shaping the future and collectively we achieved so much last week to make our vision of a new working environment, new website and new branding a reality.

Please take a look at our new website, our new image and new offices and let us know what you think of our collective efforts to bring you a shiny new Church International. One thing that hasn’t changed, however, is our commitment to delivering our award winning IT Recruitment service to our candidates and clients.
