Since its release ten months ago, PayPal One Touch has accumulated 18 million users worldwide â 20 per cent opting in to the service during the last month alone.
PayPalâs new background authentication feature allows customers to make payments across different sites and apps on their device without having to log in or fill out their billing information. One Touch has been made available in 23 new markets since the beginning of 2016, taking the total to 143 markets globally â including new markets in Asia, Europe, and Central America. The system, which PayPal claim will decrease shopping cart abandonment rates, has now been enabled by more than a million merchants worldwide.
