Startup âmobile-firstâ bank Mondo is working with Thames Card Technology to roll out contactless debit cards coupled with personalisation technology. The challenger bank, currently going through the process of acquiring its banking licence, will offer customers a contactless debit card coupled with a mobile banking app featuring intelligent notifications, instant balance information and financial management features. The first 2,000 alpha cards are in circulation already, being used as part of the pilot of the bankâs services. A further 4,000 are expected to be commissioned over the next two months.
