MUST BE BASED IN BELGIUM

(Hybrid – 50% on-site in Brussells , 50% remote)

 

We’re seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to help bridge the gap between data science and industrial deployment. In this role, you’ll promote best practices in ML code development, build robust and scalable ML pipelines, and support the transition of ML models into production-ready services. Playing a critical part in developing AI capabilities that are dependable, efficient, and ready to scale.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with Data Scientists to design solutions that align with production requirements.
  • Develop and automate ML pipeline components for integration and continuous deployment.
  • Support the creation and monitoring of industrial-grade AI services.
  • Assist IT Production teams with environment configuration and deployment logistics.
  • Monitor deployed models to ensure performance, retrain when needed, and ensure both IT and business continuity.

 

Required Skills & Experience

  • At least 4 years of experience in a relevant ML engineering role.
  • Solid experience with Python, PostgreSQL, CI/CD tools (GitLab CI), containerisation/virtualisation, AI platforms, and version control systems.
  • Proficient with package and dependency management tools.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies.
  • Experience with data integration, ELT/ETL tools, big data frameworks (e.g. Spark), model compression, data pipelines, and visualisation platforms.
  • Strong communicator with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Creative, adaptable, and continuously seeking improvement.
  • Proactive problem solver with a growth mindset.

 

Language Requirements

  • English: Required
  • Dutch and French: Nice to have

 

Work Setup

  • Hybrid model: 50% on-site & 50% remote Brussels.
  • Contract Duration: 25 July 2025 – 25 July 2026
