As a Data Governance Operations Engineer, the primary focus is on maintaining Linux-based data pipelines, automating data processes, and ensuring data quality and integrity. This role requires close collaboration with data engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to optimise data workflows and enhance data governance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Pipeline Operations: Maintain and optimise Linux-based data pipelines. Develop shell scripts to automate data processes, ensuring efficient and accurate data flow.
- Job Scheduling and Release Management: Create and manage jobs in Control-M for timely data processing. Collaborate with the planning team to execute releases with minimal disruption.
- Incident Management: Identify and respond to data-related incidents. Conduct root cause analysis and document resolutions to enhance data quality.
- Data Management: Manage databases, run queries, and troubleshoot connectivity issues. Work with data analysts and engineers to improve data governance.
Skills and Experience:
- At least 6 years of experience in Data Analytics.
- Strong background in Linux system administration, scripting, and data management.
- Proficiency in job scheduling and release management.
- Basic knowledge of Ab Initio development and data governance principles.
- Experience with version control systems like Git.
- Familiarity with mainframe systems for data transfer and integration.
- Banking experience is a plus.
- Analytical thinking for troubleshooting and resolving data issues.
- Effective communication to meet stakeholder data needs.
- Flexibility and adaptability to manage changing data requirements and priorities.
Language Requirements:
- Fluent in English.
- Knowledge of Dutch or French is a plus.
