We are looking for an experienced Functional Architect to join the IT team with a focus on Data Hub and Data Governance. This role plays a key part in ensuring the consistency, sustainability, and alignment of IT solutions with enterprise goals and evolving technologies.

 

You will contribute to major initiatives such as cloud migration, solution architecture for new projects, and shaping the future data strategy. You’ll collaborate with other architects and stakeholders to build secure, scalable, and efficient solutions.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Migrations of existing applications from local data centers to a private cloud environment.
  • Designing solution architecture for new initiatives across the Data Hub Team.
  • Supporting the design of a new data strategy, including topics like data products, metadata, data lineage, and virtualisation.
  • Deliver solution architecture files during quarterly agile planning, collaborating with infrastructure and security architects.
  • Participate in and advise on studies, projects, and assets concerning the evolution of architecture, in line with enterprise strategy.
  • Ensure architectural efficiency and impact through active stakeholder management.

 

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum of 6 years in IT solution architecture, ideally within a data-related context.
  • Experience in large projects requiring intermediate deliveries and transition architectures is essential
  • Familiarity with any cloud provider and experience in application migration
  • Proficiency in architectural modelling and defining application architectures
  • Experience in environments where security and resilience are paramount, such as banking.
  • English: Key requirement as the primary working language
  • French or Dutch: Good command of either language is necessary.
  • Experience in large companies or financial services is advantageous.
  • Identifies and acts upon opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Evaluates impacts and makes timely choices based on available options and information
  • Proactively identifies and tackles obstacles and opportunities.
