As a Sustainability Strategy Consultant, you will play a key role in defining and consolidating the bank’s sustainability and ESG strategy. You will work closely with stakeholders to integrate decarbonisation, regulatory compliance (CSRD, ESRS, EU taxonomy), and customer insights into a strategic roadmap, underpinned by a strong business case and performance indicators.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide expert guidance on ESG, sustainable finance, and strategic sustainability initiatives.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to develop a sustainability strategy that aligns with the bank’s goals, regulatory requirements, and market insights.
• Integrate decarbonisation aspects and lessons learned from previous assessments into the strategy.
• Establish and monitor sustainability performance indicators.
• Develop a business case to support the sustainability strategy and translate it into an actionable roadmap with measurable goals.

Essential Skills and Experience:

• Language Proficiency: Fluent in Dutch, French, and English.
• Master’s degree in business economics, sustainability, or equivalent.
• Minimum of 4 years in relevant roles, with familiarity in net zero banking, decarbonisation, and sustainability frameworks (ESRS, CSRD, EU taxonomy).
• Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of sustainability challenges, sustainable finance, data quality, and regulatory frameworks relevant to banks.
• Ability to develop strategic thinking, elaborate business cases, and effectively communicate and gain buy-in from stakeholders.
• Adaptability, customer orientation, teamwork, result-oriented mindset, and proactive approach.
