What a great evening! As usual the Gala Dinner for the FStech Awards in Grosvenor Square was a sell out success with over 500 attending. Brian, Karl, Simon and I were delighted to be sat on the table with some of the judges and Mark Evans, the owner of Perspective Publishing, who publishes FStech magazine alongside many other sector specific journals.
It was a good opportunity to network with the representatives of some really cutting edge new companies during the evening as well as the more established players in the market. This year saw the biggest list of Award categories ranging from IT Team of the Year to Best Use of Mobile. Brian was honoured to be asked to present the Award for Technology Provider of the Year and the winner in this category was Bravura Solutions, an industry leading provider of software / technology solutions and services for the administration of superannuation, pensions, life insurance, investment, wrap, private wealth and transfer agency.
Shortly after the applause stopped, I followed Brian on to the stage to present the Award for Most Disruptive Financial Sector Technology to Sammedia Limited, who provide innovative web-based client solutions to many leading UK financial adviser firms. Sammedia pioneered the client portal concept with moneyinfo, which brings together all of a client’s financial information in one place, including adviser managed products alongside personal financial information.
We look forward to following all the winners and finalists during 2016 and hope their success at the Awards brings them increased opportunities in their respective markets. We also look forward to being part of the FSTech Awards again in 2017 and presenting awards to the next round of innovative and creative individuals and companies who are the driving force behind up an ever changing Financial Services market.
