ABN AMRO has unveiled Tikkie, the first payment app to allow consumers to send payment requests via Whatsapp. The app processes requests through Hollandâs payment platform iDEAL and can be used by clients with a current account at any Dutch bank. Users will be able to enter the amount through the Tikkie app and then select a person from their Whatsapp contacts from whom they wish to receive payment.
