FStech Awards 2027: Celebrating the People Shaping Financial Services

11th August 2026 Church News.

The financial services technology landscape never stands still.

New technologies emerge, customer expectations change, and organisations are continually looking for better, faster and more effective ways to operate.

Behind all of that progress are the people and teams turning ideas into reality.

The FStech Awards 2027 are now open for entries, providing an opportunity to recognise those achievements across the UK and EMEA financial services technology community.

And for Church International, this year’s awards have a particular significance. We are proud to be supporting the FStech Awards for the 17th consecutive year.

36 opportunities to showcase innovation

Now in their 27th year, the FStech Awards recognise excellence across a wide range of financial services technology and innovation.

With 36 categories, the awards cover areas including artificial intelligence, data, cyber security, payments, digital transformation and fintech.

That breadth is important because innovation in financial services doesn’t come from one particular technology or one particular type of organisation.

It can come from a major transformation programme.

It can come from a new approach to data.

It can come from using AI to solve a problem that has existed for years.

It can come from strengthening security, improving the customer experience or creating a new way for people to access financial services.

And it can come from the teams behind those projects who have put the ideas into practice.

What has your organisation achieved?

Awards entries don’t have to be about having the biggest technology budget or the most recognisable name.

They are an opportunity to demonstrate what your organisation has achieved and, importantly, the impact that achievement has had.

Perhaps you’ve introduced a new technology that has improved efficiency.

Perhaps your team has delivered a complex digital transformation programme.

Perhaps you’ve developed a new product or service that is changing the way customers interact with financial services.

Or perhaps you’ve found a better way of tackling an existing challenge.

If the work has made a difference, it is worth considering whether there is an FStech category that reflects it.

17 years of watching the industry evolve

Church International has supported the FStech Awards for 17 consecutive years.

During that time, financial services technology has changed enormously.

Technologies that were once emerging have become mainstream. New challenges have appeared. The importance of areas such as cyber security, data, AI and digital transformation has grown significantly.

But one thing has remained consistent: the industry continues to be driven by talented people who are prepared to challenge the way things have always been done.

That is something we see every day through our work with financial services and technology organisations.

For us, supporting the FStech Awards is about more than having our name associated with an awards programme.

It is about recognising the people and organisations helping to shape the sector we work in.

Don’t let great work go unnoticed

A lot of exceptional work happens behind the scenes.

Teams solve difficult problems. Technology professionals deliver complex projects. Organisations make significant investments in transformation and innovation.

Often, the people involved simply move on to the next challenge once the work is complete.

The FStech Awards provide an opportunity to stop and recognise what has been achieved.

If your organisation has a story worth telling, tell it.

Entries for the FStech Awards 2027 close on 30 October 2026.

With 36 categories to choose from, now is the time to explore the options and consider where your achievements could fit.
