Lloyds partners with Google on Big Data

Lloyds Banking Group has set up a digital analytics team, which has been testing new data tools with Google. The bank said that the move – part of its “digital transformation” – has seen it work with the Advanced Skills Institute and Google to help develop its in-house capabilities. The FI has been testing Google’s Big Data platform technologies and analytics on non-personal behavioural data, using a secure Lloyds account on the Google cloud platform and open versions (BigQuery, Dataflow and Bigtable) of Google’s internal analytics tools.
