Hybrid Position-  3 days a week on-site in Edinburgh, Maidenhead, or Newcastle.


We are seeking a Pre-sales specialist to join our client, a service provider in the UK, that focuses on Colocation, Connection, and Hosting for Digital Infrastructure.

The Pre-Sales Specialist aims to drive new revenue across sales regions by providing specialised knowledge, informing clients, and assisting sales staff in securing and converting opportunities. This involves expertise in technical offerings, the broader data center environment, network connectivity, and essential technical and commercial aspects for client success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gain a deep understanding of the regional Colocation estate to drive sales success.
  • Manage client enterprise requirements in design and decision-making, addressing objections.
  • Positively influence ongoing opportunities for increased scope and sales progression.
  • Utilise experience and client feedback to enhance technical and commercial approaches.
  • Stay updated on the regional competitive landscape, industry best practices, and key Colocation drivers.
  • Adapt responsibilities and handle confidential information professionally following company policies.


  • Proven industry experience in Colocation-oriented roles.
  • Client-focused sales experience.
  • Strong understanding of designing and provisioning colocation solutions.
  • Ability to prepare formal submissions (RFP/RFI).
  • Articulate benefits of colocation connectivity and core networking concepts.
  • Familiarity with virtualisation, Platform, and Infrastructure as a Service solution.
  • Thorough understanding of colocation productisation, availability, and service commercial modelling.
  • Conceptual understanding of Service Provider networking, interconnects, and architectural considerations.
  • Professionalism, and effective collaboration in a fast-paced environment.
  • Client service focus, strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proactive work style with excellent analytical and documentation skills.
  • Strong team work ethic, detail-oriented, and able to meet deadlines.
  • Minimum Degree or equivalent, relevant commercial experience.
