Management of energy & carbon emissions

Church International Limited has made a commitment to reducing energy consumption and managing the environmental impact of its activities.  Our greatest environmental impact comes from the carbon emissions created by office energy use and business travel.

As far as is practical Church International is committed to:

  • Operating in an energy efficient way
  • Producing an energy/carbon strategy and action plan
  • Achieving local energy efficiency measures
  • Minimising environmental impacts
  • Investing in energy/carbon efficiency opportunities
  • Including energy in the procurement evaluation process
  • Informing and motivating staff
  • Continual improvement

Carbon emissions reduction

To fulfil the carbon emissions reduction objectives of this policy, Church International will:

  • Constantly assess its energy usage and reduce it where possible
  • Constantly assess its fuel usage and reduce it where possible
  • Encourage all employees:
    *to take an active role by switching off all unused or unnecessary equipment
    *to be mindful of wasting commodities such as paper
    *to recycle where possible
  • Buy, or replace as appropriate, equipment which is rated as more energy efficient
  • Measure and take action to reduce the carbon footprint of our business activities

This Policy will be reviewed on a regular basis.  Reviews will take place annually or sooner if legislation or operational procedures change.
